When recalling their first impressions of one another, James shares that she was exciting to be around from the very start - "I immediately saw her zest for life and was attracted to that, not to mention her beautiful brown eyes." On the other hand, Shardey found James even more attractive in person, she recalls with hilarity - "On our first date, he said, 'Whatever happens with us, I will still want to go see the silverback gorillas with you,' and I knew he meant every word." Their mutual attraction and genuine connection set the foundation for their budding romance.

The proposal was a beautiful surprise for Shardey, who was pregnant at the time. During their babymoon in Lorne, James wanted to make sure she had a ring on her finger before their baby arrived. He chose a secluded beach at sunset for the special moment, ensuring they were alone to savour it. As the sun dipped below the horizon, James asked Shardey to marry him, creating a perfect and unforgettable memory.

After three years of waiting due to COVID-19, Shardey and James chose a breathtaking clifftop in Sorrento for their wedding ceremony. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, the event was especially poignant as it included their beloved dog Freddy, who has since passed away. "These images are very precious to us," Shardey reflects, cherishing the memories of that day. Her favorite moment was sharing the beautiful May weather with their daughter and Freddy, creating a perfect backdrop for their special day.

Shardey's search for the perfect earrings led her to Christie Nicolaides, where she sought something unique and dramatic to complement her wedding dress.
